May 21, 8:26 p.m., mile seven Knik-Goose Bay Road, Wasilla. Conducting a traffic stop for numerous moving violations, troopers arrested 28-year old Brittany Staudenmaier for DUI and refusal to submit to a chemical test. She was remanded to Mat-Su Pretrial Facility and released on her own recognizance once sober.
May 18. Wildlife troopers cited 37-year old Rodney H. Larson of Palmer for sport fishing on Kepler Lake without having a valid 2017 sport fishing license. Bail was set at $210.
May 22, 8:50 p.m., mile five Knik-Goose Bay Road, Wasilla. Wildlife troopers arrested 31-year old Nicholas Paul Randazzo of Anchorage for felony eluding, reckless driving, motor vehicle collision damage and resisting arrest. According to reports, troopers attempted to stop a vehicle for moving violations and pursued it for approximately 2.5 miles at speeds in excess of 100 miles per hours in a posted 55 mph safety corridor. Further, officers state the vehicle ran red lights and passed vehicles in no passing zones during the pursuit. Police say Randazzo’s vehicle failed to safely negotiate a turn, slid into a ditch and collided with a roadside utility box. Police said Randazzo attempted to flee on foot but was apprehended after being shot with a Taser. Investigation revealed Randazzo was on probation for felony theft at the time of the incident. He was remanded to Mat-Su Pretrial Facility and held without bail on a probation violation and $5,000 bail for the new charges.
May 12, 7:23 p.m., East Old Matanuska Road. Responding to the Extreme Fun Center for a reported assault, police charged Sandra Guzman with fourth-degree disorderly conduct.
May 12, 9:05 p.m., Parks Highway. Conducting a traffic stop for observed erratic driving, police arrested Sumalee Cupps for DUI. Cupps was transported to Mat-Su Pretrial Facility.
May 12, 10:52 p.m., Parks Highway. Following up on a REDDI report, police arrested Randall-Boyd Newbey for felony DUI and driving while license suspended. He was remanded to Mat-Su Pretrial Facility with bail set at $2,500 and a court-appointed third party.
May 13, 10:07 a.m., North Lucille Street. Conducting a welfare check on an individual in a disabled vehicle, police contacted Benjamin Neher who officers allege was in possession of and under the influence of a combination of heroin, methamphetamine, and hash oil. He was charged with three counts of fourth-degree misconduct involving a controlled substance and remanded to Mat-Su Pretrial Facility.
May 13, 3:23 p.m., East Southview Drive-East Danny’s Avenue. After coming upon a vehicle obstructing traffic, officers arrested David Caswell for DUI. According to reports, police found Caswell slumped over tin the driver’s seat. Police allege Caswell had recently used controlled substances and was driving while impaired. He was remanded to Mat-Su Pretrial Facility.
May 13, 5:30 p.m., West Parks Highway. Following up on a reported intoxicated driver, police arrested Jacqueline Stroble for DUI and refusal to submit to a chemical test.
May 14, 12:06 a.m., West Parks Highway. Responding to a local saloon for a reported fight in progress, police arrested Vladimir Kolomeychuk for fourth-degree assault, disorderly conduct and first-degree harassment. According to reports, Kolomeychuk had caused a disturbance inside the establishment which led to a physical fight. Police stated three bouncers and two patrons were involved in trying to subdue Kolomeychuk.
May 14, 7:11 p.m., South Seward Meridian Parkway. Responding to an attempted shoplifting complaint at Walmart, police charged Courtney Bauman and Lance Fredericks with fourth-degree theft and first-degree criminal trespass through the district attorney’s office. Police state the two had entered the store with the intent of stealing video game controllers.
May 14, 9:32 p.m., South Seward Meridian Parkway. Police charged Jesse Stoddard with second-degree criminal trespass.
May 15, 12:22 p.m., East Parks Highway. Police continue investigation into the passing of several counterfeit bills at First National Bank.
May 15, 10:21 p.m., East Parks Highway. Police continue an investigation into a reported theft of a phone from Carrs. The complainant told officers he placed his phone on a table and walked away. When the complainant returned, the phone was gone. Surveillance video shows a male and female near the table.
May 16, 4:03 p.m., East Dellwood Street. Police continue an investigation into a burglary and vehicle theft. According to reports, culprits pried open a back window and busted a lock to gain entry into the residence. Officers stated the vehicle had been stolen from the driveway.
May 16, 9:59 p.m., East Parks Highway. Following up on a REDDI report, police arrested Tiffany Sloan for DUI. She was remanded to Mat-Su Pretrial Facility.
May 17, 11:56 p.m., East Parks Highway. Responding to complaint at Carrs, police charged Courtney Bauman for fourth-degree theft and concealment of merchandise. According to reports, Bauman concealed merchandise in her purse and then went through the checkout without paying.
May 18, 1:22 a.m., East Parks Highway. Responding to a reported assault, police arrested Kenneth Brawford for fourth-degree assault. According to reports, Brawford had left the scene prior to police arrival but officers eventually located the suspect.
May 18, 3:43 p.m. Police continue an investigation into the reported theft of a firearm. The complainant told officers the firearm had been stolen from his vehicle when he gave a hitchhiker a ride and left the vehicle unattended for a time. The theft was not noticed until after the hitchhiker had been dropped off.
May 18, 5:19 p.m., East Parks Highway. Police continue an investigation into a counterfeit $10 bill taken at a local fast-food restaurant.
May 18, 5:05 p.m., West Parks Highway. Police arrested Cindi Jacques on two outstanding felony arrest warrants. According to reports, the vehicle Jacques arrived at the location in was reported stolen out of Anchorage. Two vehicle occupants were interviewed and released. The vehicle owner was contacted to claim it. Police state the investigation is ongoing.
May 18, 10:30 p.m., East Parks Highway-East Sun Mountain Avenue. Following up on a REDDI report, police arrested John Foerch for DUI. He was remanded to Mat-Su Pretrial Facility.
May 18, 11:19 p.m., Parks Highway-Main Street. Police charged Christopher Dombrock with criminal mischief through the district attorney’s office. Officers state they responded to a local business and allege Dombrock had been verbally threatening customers and had punched a vehicle in the parking lot causing damage.
May 18, 11:50 p.m., Main Street-East Swanson Avenue. Police arrested Christopher Dombrock for probation violation. According to reports, officers conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle believed to contain a suspect for the above incident at Parks Highway and Main Street. Dombrock, a passenger in the vehicle, was on probation for second-degree robbery with conditions not to consume alcohol or commit additional crimes. Police state Dombrock’s blood-alcohol level registered .165. Further investigation tied Dombrock to the above criminal mischief complaint. He was remanded to Mat-Su Pretrial Facility.
