May 23, 8:39 p.m., Old Knik-Fairview Loop. Troopers are asking for the public’s help in resolving a harassment complaint. According to reports, two women were out of their vehicle when they were surrounded by individuals in an SUV described as black and boxy with dark tint windows and riding three dirt bikes. The women told police suspects attempted to get them into the SUV while making sexual comments. One of the women was reportedly injured when one of the suspects grabbed her. Police state both women were able to get to their own vehicle and drive away. The report stated one suspect on a dirt bike followed the vehicle for a short distance. Troopers said the suspects were described as white males in their late teens or early 20’s and spoke with an accent. Anyone with information about the incident is asked to contact AST at 352-5401. Troopers advise anyone facing a similar situation to contact 911 immediately.

Wasilla Police Department

May 29, 8:53 a.m., North Lucille Street-West Nelson Avenue. Responding to a reported hit and run collision, officers arrested Tessa Stellars for DUI and leaving the scene of an accident. Police located the suspect vehicle disabled on West Parks Avenue near West Lamont Way.

May 19, 8:27 p.m. Police continue investigating a reported assault in Walgreen’s parking lot. According to reports, an individual approached a vehicle, opened the door, and sprayed two occupants with a full can of bear defense/pepper spray, and then fled the scene. Both victims were transported to Mat-Su Regional Hospital’s emergency room by EMS for treatment. Officers do have a suspect.

May 20, 6:40 a.m., West Vaunda Avenue. Police arrested Donna Gill for fourth-degree criminal mischief and second-degree criminal trespassing. According to reports, the complainant reported a female kicked in her door at her residence.

May 20, 3:39 p.m., Parks Highway. Conducting a welfare check on an unconscious male inside a vehicle at Fred Meyer parking lot, police arrested Kyle Alexander for DUI. He was remanded to Mat-Su Pretrial Facility.

May 21, 2:39 p.m., East Parks Highway. Responding to a reported trespassing, police arrested Richard Johnson on an outstanding warrant and additionally charged him with fourth-degree theft through the district attorney’s office. According to reports, Johnson had stolen merchandise from the AT&T Wireless Store and concealed it on his person.

May 21, 4:02 p.m. Police continue investigation into the reported theft of approximately $1,000 of items taken from an unlocked vehicle in the Home Depot parking lot.

May 23, 1:17 a.m., North Lucus Road-West Nugget Avenue. Conducting a traffic stop for an equipment violation, police arrested Case Huston on an outstanding probation violation on the original charge of DUI. Officers state Huston was in possession of illegal drugs. The vehicle operator, Joshua Cunningham, was driving on a suspended license and without motor vehicle liability insurance. He was cited for the infractions and the vehicle towed from the scene. Huston was transported to Mat-Su Pretrial Facility.

May 23, 11:10 a.m., Parks Highway. Investigating a shoplifter in custody report at Sportsman’s Warehouse, police arrested Darryl Payne on an outstanding warrant and charged him with third-degree theft through the district attorney’s office. He was transported to Mat-Su Pretrial Facility.

May 23, 12:26 p.m. Police continue an investigation into the reported theft of approximately $80 in merchandise from Lowe’s.

May 24, 5:38 a.m., North Boundary Road. Responding to a male passed out in the driver’s seat of a running vehicle at a local business, police contacted the driver who was found to be under the legal limit for alcohol but appeared to be under the influence of other substances. Officers seized the vehicle pending a search warrant to check it for drugs.

May 24, 5:07 p.m., Parks-Palmer Wasilla highways. Responding to a motor vehicle collision, police arrested Matthew Woller for DUI. According to reports, Woller lost control of his vehicle and struck a power pole causing a power outage to part of the city. He was remanded to Mat-Su Pretrial Facility.

May 24, 8:31 p.m. Responding to a reported theft after the fact complaint at Lowes, police charged Richard Johnson with second-degree theft through the district attorney’s office. Officers reported Johnson had fled the store on foot with a drill, valued at $270, stuffed down his pants.

May 25, 10 a.m., Parks Highway. Police continue investigating the theft of more than $10,000 of tools and equipment from property on the highway. Officers are reviewing security footage.

May 25, 1:19 p.m., Main Street. Responding to a wellness check on a male slumped over the steering wheel at a local business; police arrested David Frank Anderson for DUI, driving while license revoked no motor vehicle insurance, and fifth-degree misconduct involving a controlled substance. He was remanded to Mat-Su Pretrial Facility with bail set at $3,000 cash/corporate with conditions of release.

May 25, 10:32 p.m. Conducting a stop for a traffic violation, police arrested Haleyrae Gregg for DUI, resisting arrest, fourth-degree assault, and refusal to submit to a chemical test. According to reports, when officers tried to arrest Gregg, she became physically resistive, had to be forced to the ground, and bit one of the officers. Gregg was remanded to Mat-Su Pretrial Facility and held until arraignment.
