Alaska State Troopers

Location: Palmer

Type: DUI

Dispatch Text: On 11/11/2017 at approximately 0337 hours, Alaska State Troopers responded to a report of a tan 2002 Chevrolet Silverado involved in a MVA-D on Fireweed Rd. and Gershmel Lp. in Palmer. Investigation revealed that Scott Ballard, age 28 of Palmer, was operating the vehicle while impaired by alcohol. Ballard was arrested at the scene for Driving Under the Influence and Refusal to Submit a Chemical Test. Ballard was transported to MSRH for medical clearance then remanded at MSPT where he was released under his own recognizance once sober.

Dispatch Text: On 11/11/17 at 0450 hours, Alaska State Troopers responded to a vehicle in the ditch at PWH and Equestrian Pl. Investigation revealed Samir Chettfour age 28 of Palmer was operating a white 2006 Chevrolet pickup while impaired by alcohol when he went off of the road into a ditch. Chettfour was arrested for DUI Alcohol and transported to the Mat-Su Pretrial Facility and remanded with bail set at $500.

Type: Assault 4th Degree; Criminal Mischief 4th Degree; Probation Violation

Dispatch Text: On 11/10/17 at 2000 hours, AST responded to a residence on Hematite Drive in Wasilla for the report of a disturbance. Investigation revealed Kaleb Paulus, age 26 of Wasilla, assaulted a family member and damaged property inside the dwelling during the incident. Paulus was arrested for the original charges of Assault in the 4th Degree and Criminal Mischief in the 4th Degree. Paulus was also on probation for Felony DUI and Palmer Probations subsequently revoked Paulus' probation. Paulus was transported to the MSPT facility in Palmer where he was remanded into custody and held without bail.

Type: REDDI; DUI; Refusal

Dispatch Text: On 11/10/17 at 2340 hours, AST responded to Fairview Loop near the Parks Highway in Wasilla for the report of a dangerous driver. AST observed the suspect vehicle, a green 1999 Ford pick-up, and performed a traffic stop. Investigation revealed Morgan Hodsdon, age 25 of Palmer, was driving under the influence of alcohol and refused to provide a breath sample for the Datamaster. Hodsdon was arrested for the original charges of DUI and Refusal to Submit to a Chemical Test. Hodsdon was transported to the MSPT facility in Palmer where she was remanded into custody and released O/R when sober.

Type: Interference with official Proceedings / Violating a Domestic Violence Protective Order

On 11-8-17 at approximately 1131 hours, Alaska State Troopers and Court Service Officers responded to Palmer Court following a report of a person violating a domestic violence protective order. Investigation revealed that Joshual J. Longley, age 43 of Willow, AK attempted to influence the testimony of family member before a domestic violence hearing. Subsequent investigation revealed that Longley violated a domestic violence protective order when he contacted the family member. He was arrested and transported to Mat-Su Pretrial where he was lodged. He is charged with interference with official proceedings and violating a domestic violence protective order.

Type: Warrant Arrest

Dispatch Text: On 11/10/2017 at approximately 2004 hours, Alaska State Troopers received a report of a welfare check on a female at the Alpine Inn Bar in Sutton. Investigation revealed Anna Harmon, age 49 of Sutton, had 2 outstanding AST warrants for Failure to Appear to court on the original charge of DWLR. Harmon was arrested at the scene and was remanded to MSPT with bail set at $400 cash.

Type: Warrant Arrest

Dispatch Text: On 11/09/17 at 2100 hours, AST responded to Long Lake Road in Willow for the report of a suspicious vehicle. AST contacted Bradley Reynolds, age 40 of Wasilla, during the investigation. Reynolds had an outstanding warrant for his arrest for the failure to appear to a pre-trial conference hearing for the original charge of Assault in the 4th Degree. Reynolds was arrested on his warrant and transported to the MSPT facility in Palmer where he was held on $500 bail.

Type: No Vehicle Liability Insurance

Dispatch Text: On 11/08/17 at 1500 hours, AST performed a traffic stop on a blue 2001 Chevy Impala near mile 77 of the Parks Highway in Willow. Investigation revealed Michael Masek, age 32 of Willow, was driving while his license was suspended and he did not have liability insurance for the vehicle. Masek was issued a misdemeanor citation for No Vehicle Liability Insurance and a minor offense citation for Driving While License Suspended with mandatory court appearances for both citations at a later date.

Dispatch Text: On 11/9/2017 at approximately 2143 hours, Alaska State Troopers responded to a reported motor vehicle collision at S. Old Glenn Highway and S. River Drive. Investigation revealed Eric W. Raese, age 32, of Wasilla was driving under the influence when he lost control of his 2006 Dodge Ram 1500. Raese was arrested for DUI and remanded to Mat-Su Pretrial where he was released on his own recognizance.
