On September 26, 2017, Palmer Police investigated a collision in the La Fiesta parking lot. No injuries were reported.
On September 27, 2017, Palmer Police forward charges to the District Attorney’s Office on MIRANDA J. CRAIG, age 27 of Palmer, for Assault 4 and Violating a Domestic Violence Restraining Order.
On September 28, 2017, Palmer Police responded to a motor vehicle collision at the intersection of the Glenn Hwy. and E. Inner Springer Loop.
On September 28, 2017, Palmer Police received a report of a missing 20-year-old vulnerable adult. The individual was located and was returned home.
On September 29, 2017, Palmer Police Arrested KENNETH KOMAKHUK, age 30 of Anchorage, for Driving Under the Influence and Driving While License Revoke. KOMAKHUK was remanded to Mat-Su Pretrial where he was held without bail.
On September 29, 2017, Palmer Police responded to the intersection of Arctic Avenue and Glenn Highway for a motor vehicle collision.
On September 29, 2017, Palmer Police responded to a motor vehicle accident involving a skateboarder at East Arctic Ave and North Valley Way.
On September 29, 2017, a 25-year-old Palmer man reported his vehicle was stolen.
On September 29, 2017, a 27-year-old Anchorage woman reported her vehicle had been damaged by another vehicle that had left the scene.
On September 30, 2017, Palmer Police arrested ROBERT T. BROWN, age 32 of Anchorage, on a $250 warrant for Failure to Appear for Arraignment on an Original Charge of Driving Under the Influence. He was remanded to Mat-Su Pretrial.
On October 1, 2017, Palmer Police arrested JARED PERRIN, age 39 of Palmer, for Driving Under the Influence. PERRIN was remanded to Mat-Su Pretrial where he was released on his own recognizance.

On 10/02/2017 the Alaska State Troopers responded to the area of Big Lake Road for a report of suspicious female. Investigation revealed that Tammy McLinn broke into a church and had spent the night there. McLinn was charged with Burglary, Criminal Mischief, Criminal Trespass, and Theft. McLinn was remanded to Matsu Pretrial.

On 10/02/2017 at approximately 2248 hours, AST attempted to conduct a traffic stop on a Toyota Tundra near mile 51 of the Glenn Highway. The Toyota was being driven by Mark Jaramillo, age 48 of Palmer, who was known by the Trooper to be revoked for Felony DUI which he is on probation for. Jaramillo failed to yield for a short distance before running into the woods on foot. Jaramillo was located, arrested, and remanded to Matsu Pretrial on charges of Failure to Stop at the Directions of Peace Officer in the Second Degree and DWLR and released on his own recognizance. Jaramillo was also charged with violating his probation and held without bail.

On 10/03/17 at 0339 hours, Alaska State Troopers contacted Zane Roberts, age 23 of Wasilla, at a Holiday Gas Station at Mile 49 Parks Highway. Roberts was placed under arrest for an active bench warrant for Failure to Appear on the original charge of Theft 4th/ Criminal Trespass 1st. Roberts was remanded at Mat-Su Pretrial and held on $50 bail.

On 10/03/2017 at approximately 0750 hours, State Troopers arrived near mile 6 of the Old Glenn Hwy near Palmer after receiving a report of a single motor vehicle collision. Investigation reveals Kevin Jackson, age 63 of Palmer, was driving a vehicle that left the roadway and struck the ditch causing damage to the vehicle. Further investigation revealed Jackson was impaired by alcohol. Jackson was arrested for DUI and transported to Mat Su Pre-trial and later released on their own recognizance.

On 10/02/17, at approximately 1905 hours, Alaska State Troopers responded to mile 179 Glenn Hwy for the report of a single vehicle collision. Investigation revealed a silver 2016 Jeep Patriot driven by Jourdan Avila (age 25 of Valdez) was traveling eastbound on the Glenn Hwy when Avila swerved to miss a rabbit on the roadway. Avila’s vehicle entered the eastbound ditch missing the rabbit and struck the mile 179 marker. Avila reported wearing his seatbelt and no injuries were sustained. The vehicle was towed from the scene.

On 10/02/2017 at approximately 1400 hours, Troopers in Wasilla responded to the intersection of Fattic Drive and Luke Drive in Wasilla for the report of a two vehicle motor vehicle collision. Investigation reveals Kristen Ware, age 30 of Wasilla, rear ended a 58-year-old Wasilla man, causing minor damage to both vehicles. Ware was issued a citation for failing to exercise due caution to avoid a collision.

On 09/24/17, at approximately 0602 hours, Alaska State Troopers responded to a residence near mile 101 Old Richardson Hwy for the report of a Motor Vehicle Collision with the building. Investigation revealed a black 2014 Chevrolet Sonic driven by Frank Charley (age 37 of Gakona) collided with the building after it failed to negotiate a curve. Frank Charley left the scene and was subsequently located nearby. Frank Charley was transported by EMS to a medical facility for treatment of his injuries. Alcohol is believed to be factor. Investigation is ongoing and charges will be forwarded to the District Attorney for review.

On 10/1/2017 at approximately 2325 hours, Alaska State Troopers responded to a residence on Timberline Dr. in Big Lake. Investigation revealed Christopher Novotay, age 26, of Anchorage had an outstanding warrant for Probation Violation on the original charge of Failure to Stop at the Direction of a Peace Officer in the First Degree. Novotay was remanded to MSPT where bail was set at $1000 cash.
