On 09/02/2017 at approximately 2051 hours, Alaska State Troopers responded to a single vehicle rollover at approximately mile 12.6 of the Talkeetna Spur. An investigation revealed Andrew Scott Mackie, age 40 of Anchorage was driving a 2006 Chevrolet Silverado southbound on the Talkeetna Spur when he left the roadway, causing the vehicle to overturn. Mackie was transported to the Mat-Su Regional Medical Center for his injuries. Alcohol is a factor in the case. This incident is still under investigation.

On 09/03/2017 at approximately 1642 hours, Alaska State Troopers received a report of a Domestic Violence Protective Order (DVPO) Violation. Investigation revealed Daniel Punturo, age 36 of Wasilla, violated a DVPO by contacting the petitioner. Punturo was arrested and remanded to the custody of the Mat-Su Pretrial Facility and held without bail.

On 9/3/17 at approximately 0252 hours, Alaska State Troopers contacted Crystal Bryant, age 32, of Big Lake while on patrol. Investigation revealed she had an outstanding warrant out for her arrest for Theft 2. She was arrested, transported and remanded to MSPT where her bail was set at $2,500 CATP.

On 9/4/17 at approximately 1004 hours Alaska State Troopers responded to a report of a theft at a RV Park in Wasilla. Items including a gun, a leather holster, and two knives and approximately $550.00 were taken from a vehicle. On 09/03/2017 at approximately 2129 hours, State Troopers were dispatched to the area of Nelson Rd and Rabbit Slough in Wasilla. The complainant to AST dispatch reported a vehicle passed him at a high rate of speed and ended up stuck in a swampy area. Upon Trooper arrival, multiple individuals were contacted while walking away from the area of the vehicle which was a 2016 Kia Soul. The VIN number to the vehicle came back to a stolen vehicle from the Anchorage area. The driver of the vehicle was established as Gabriel Mortera, age 24 of Anchorage. Mortera was arrested on the charges of Vehicle Theft 1st Degree and Theft in the 2nd Degree and transported to Mat-Su Pre-trial.

On 09/03/2017 at approximately 1827 hours the Alaska State Troopers responded to a report of a domestic disturbance in the Palmer area. Investigation revealed that 23 year old Hunter Tamez caused injury to a family member and interfered with the victim’s ability to contact the Alaska State Troopers. Tamez was remanded to Matsu Pretrial where he was held without bail.

On 09/04/2017 at approximately 1847 hours, State Troopers conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle near the intersection of Old Glenn Hwy and Plumley Road in the Butte for an equipment violation. Investigation revealed the driver Cameron Alcantra, age 48 of Palmer, had an outstanding warrant for his arrest with a bail of $50 and three days to serve in jail. Alcantra was arrested and transported to Mat Su Pre-Trial.

On 09/03/17 at approximately 1845 hours, Mat-SU AST conducted a traffic stop on a blue Chevrolet Corsica at Beaver Lakes Road and West Lakes Boulevard for a smashed in front windshield. AST investigation revealed Victoria I. Laporte, age 22 of Big Lake, was driving the vehicle while her license was canceled. Victoria was issued a misdemeanor citation for DWLC with a notice to appear in court.

The driver, Jacob Thornton and a passenger were treated at the scene for minor injuries. Investigation revealed Thornton was under the influence of an intoxicating substance.

Investigation reveals Heather Reader, age 34 of Wasilla, physically assaulted a family member. She was arrested on the charge of Assault 4th Degree DV and transported to Mat-Su Pre-Trial.
