Wasilla Police Department

On August 25, 2017 at 1407 hours, Wasilla Police received a report of fraud. The complainant stated a male had used her identity to access her bank account and withdraw money. The case is currently under investigation.

On August 25, 2017 at 1344 hours, Wasilla Police received a report of a theft. The complainant stated he found his vehicle unlocked while it was parked in the Walmart parking lot and someone had stolen two gold rings and a vapor cigarette. The complainant provided suspect information and the case is currently under investigation. The loss is estimated in excess of $1,200.

On August 25, 2017 at 2027 hours, Wasilla Police responded to Fred Meyer for a reported disturbance. Following an investigation, Jeffrey Warner was arrested for domestic violence assault in the 2nd and 4th degrees and criminal mischief in the 4th degree. Warner was transported to the Mat -Su Pretrial Facility where he was held without bail.

On August 25, 2017 at 2310 hours, Wasilla Police conducted a traffic stop at N. Crusey Street and E. Parks Highway on a vehicle which had been called in as a REDDI. The driver was identified as Brandon K. Smith who was found to be driving while he was impaired by alcohol and cannabis. Smith was arrested for DUI and transported to the Mat-Su Pretrial Facility.

On August 26, 2017 at 0001 hours, Wasilla Police received a report of a theft. The complainant reported a light bar had been stolen off their vehicle while it was parked in the Red Robin parking lot. The case is currently under investigation.

On August 26, 2017 at 0249 hours, Wasilla Police conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle at W. Dogwood Avenue and S. Glenn Highway for failing to stop at a red light, swerving and failing to yield when turning left. The driver was identified as Anthony Kolenda who subsequently failed a series of field sobriety tests. Kolenda was arrested for DUI and transported to the Mat-Su Pretrial Facility.

On August 26, 2017 at 0501 hours, Wasilla Police was dispatched to S. Enterprise Street for a reported stolen vehicle. The vehicle was being tracked by OnStar and was located at that location. Christopher Watson was found to be in possession of the vehicle. Watson was charged with vehicle theft in the 1st degree, theft in the 1st degree and theft in the 2nd degree. The vehicle was returned to its rightful owner.

On August 26, 2017 at 1102 hours, Wasilla Police responded to a motor vehicle vs. bicyclist collision near the intersection of E. Swanson Avenue and N. Lucille Street. A juvenile male had been struck while riding his bicycle. No citations were issued.

On August 26, 2017 at 1930 hours, Wasilla Police responded to a motor vehicle collision at the intersection of the Parks and Palmer Wasilla Highways.Driver William Britt was found to be driving under the influence of alcohol when he struck the vehicle in front of him which slowed to make a stop at the intersection. Britt’s vehicle rolled over as a result of the collision. Britt was arrested for DUI and transported to Mat-Su Pretrial Facility.

On August 26, 2017 at 2202 hours, Wasilla Police responded to a REDDI report and conducted a stop on the vehicle at S. Knik Goose Bay Road and S. Fern Street. The driver was identified as Brandon Cameron who was found to be driving under the influence of alcohol. Cameron was arrested for DUI and transported to the Mat-Su Pre-Trial Facility.

On August 27, 2017 at 1919 hours, Wasilla Police responded to Walmart for a reported shoplifting. Following an investigation, the shoplifter was identified as Lisa Terry who originally lied about her name. Terry was arrested for theft and false information and transported to the Mat-Su Pretrial Facility.

On August 27, 2017 at 2103 hours, Wasilla Police received a report of a burglary after the fact. The complainant reported the burglary had taken place sometime in the prior two weeks from a residence on N. Recluse Circle. An investigation revealed the residence had been entered using force and items had been stolen. The case remains under investigation.

On August 27, 2017 at 2226 hours, Wasilla Police responded to E. Glenn Circle for a reported vehicle theft. The complainant reported his vehicle had been stolen two days prior and the female who had the vehicle would not return it. Officers gathered suspect information and are currently investigating the case.

On August 28, 2017 at 0031 hours, Wasilla Police responded to a reported disturbance at a residence on N. Lacy Loop. Following an investigation, Michael Busby was arrested for two counts of domestic violence assault.

On August 29, 2017 at 1935 hours, Wasilla Police responded to Sportsman's Warehouse for shoplifters in custody. An investigation revealed Robert Rice had attempted to steal $80 worth of merchandise and Desiree Sorrow had attempted to steal $100 worth of merchandise. The case remains under investigation.

On August 29, 2017 at 2000 hours, Wasilla Police conducted a traffic stop near the intersection of Heritage Drive and Trail Circle. The driver was identified as Trevor Catterson who had affixed fake license plates to his vehicle after other plates had been seized by police the week before. Catterson's vehicle was towed from the scene and he was cited for failing to use a signal to turn, no motor vehicle liability insurance and he was issued a summons to appear in court for improper use of registration.

On August 30, 2017 at 0019 hours, Wasilla Police conducted a traffic stop near the intersection of Seward Meridian Parkway and E. Wickersham Way. The driver was identified as Rhonda Greeno who was found to have an outstanding felony warrant for her arrest. In addition to being arrested for the warrant, Greeno was also charged with driving while her license was revoked and cited for no proof of insurance and driving with studded tires on her vehicle out of season. Greeno was remanded to the Mat-Su Pretrial Facility where her bail was set at $2,000 cash plus a court approved third party custodian.

On August 30, 2017 at 0834 hours, Wasilla Police received a report of a theft. The complainant reported his construction trailer had been broken into the night before and tools had been taken. The trailer was located at a residence on N. Lucille Street. The case is currently under investigation.

On August 30, 2017 at 1451 hours, Wasilla Police took possession of a wallet which had been found. Attempts are being made to locate the owner. The wallet was placed into safekeeping.

On August 31, 2017 at 0349 hours, Wasilla Police responded to a residence on W. Mystery Avenue after receiving a report of a suspicious person on the property. Officers made contact with Daniel Poe who was ultimately charged with criminal trespassing in the 1st degree.

On August 31, 2017 at 1119 hours, Wasilla Police took a report of an assault. The juvenile complainant reported having been attacked by another juvenile at Wasilla High School on E. Bogard Road. An investigation revealed a third juvenile conspired with the attacker to place the victim in a vulnerable location for the attack to take place. A report has been forwarded to the Department of Juvenile Justice.

On August 31, 2017 at 1356 hours, Wasilla Police received a report of a juvenile in possession of drugs at Wasilla High School on E. Bogard Road. The case is currently under investigation.

On August 31, 2017 at 1820 hours, Wasilla Police received a report of an employee of Fred Meyer having stolen cash from the register till. Jesse B. Pillittier was caught on surveillance video committing thefts on five different occasions and additional merchandise as well. Pillittier was charged with theft in the 4th degree through the District Attorney's office.

On August 31, 2017 at 1829 hours, Wasilla Police took possession of a handgun which had been found near Chimo Guns on E. Swanson Avenue. A record check didn’t indicate the weapon was stolen. It was placed in safekeeping.

Alaska State Troopers

On 9/6/17 at approximately 1953 hours, Alaska State Troopers conducted a traffic stop on a 1998 Honda Civic for an equipment violation. Investigation revealed the passenger, Tyler Baldwin, age 20 of Wasilla had an outstanding warrant out for his arrest. He was arrested, transported and remanded to Anchorage Jail.

On 9/5/17 at approximately 1013 hours, AST responded to a residence off of Maplewood Drive in Big Lake for a disturbance. Investigation revealed that the victim and an unknown male got into an argument about a trespassing issue and the unknown male physically assaulted the complainant. The unknown male fled the area and was not located by responding troopers. Anyone with any information as to the identity of the male that fled the scene is asked to call the Alaska State Troopers at 373-8300.

On 09/05/2017 at approximately 0135 hours the Alaska State Troopers responded to the area of Bogard and North Armour Court for the report of a vehicle rollover. The driver, Jacob Thornton and a passenger were treated at the scene for minor injuries. Investigation revealed Thornton was under the influence of an intoxicating substance.

On 09/05/2017 at approximately 0220 hours, Troopers responded to a disturbance that came in through dispatch located at a residence on North Bull Moose Drive. Troopers responded to investigate. Investigation reveals Heather Reader, age 34 of Wasilla, physically assaulted a family member. She was arrested on the charge of Assault 4th Degree DV and transported to Mat-Su Pretrial Facility.

Palmer Police Department

On August 28, 2017, Palmer Police arrested JORDEN THOMAS HEALY, age 21 of Palmer, for Driving Under the Influence and a $100 warrant for Failure to Appear on an Original Charge of Minor Consuming Alcohol. HEALY was remanded to Mat-Su Pretrial Facility.

On August 28, 2017, a 35-year old Wasilla woman reported she lost personal property at the Alaska State Fair, in Palmer.

On August 28, 2017, Palmer Police received a report from a 44-year old Anchorage woman that her vehicle had been struck by another vehicle at the Alaska State Fairgrounds.

On August 29, 2017, Palmer Police arrested JOHN A. LINEBAUGH, age 34 of Palmer, for Disorderly Conduct, False Report, and Tampering with Physical Evidence. LINEBAUGH was also arrested on a No Bail Warrant for a Parole Violation on Original Charges of Misconduct Involving a Controlled Substance

3 & 4. He was remanded to Mat-Su Pretrial Facility.

On August 29, 2017, Palmer Police received a report of stolen cell phone after it was left at the Alaska State Fairgrounds.

On August 30, 2017, Palmer Police arrested Peter Gilligan, age 46 of Palmer, for Assault 4. He was remanded to Mat-Su Pretrial Facility where he was held without bail.

On August 30, 2017, Palmer Police arrested BRANDI L. SLOVER, age 34 of Palmer, on a $50 warrant for Failure to Appear for Arraignments on an Original Charge of Criminal Trespass 2. Slover was remanded to Mat-Su Pretrial Facility.

On August 30, 2017, Palmer Police issued a Summons to SHERDIAN T. PEGG, age 19 of Sutton, for Driving in Violation of a Restricted License.

On August 31, 2017, Palmer Police arrested MERCEDEZ NICOLE TATE, age 25 of Anchorage, for Driving Under the Influence. TATE was remanded to Mat-Su Pretrial Facility where she was released on her own recognizance.

On August 31, 2017, Palmer Police received a report from a 62-year old Palmer woman that her cell phone had been stolen.

On August 31, 2017, Palmer Police received a report of a hit and run at the Alaska State Fairgrounds.

On September 1, 2017, Palmer Police arrested DEANNA A. WALLUK, age 26 of Wasilla, on a $200 warrant for Failure to Appear for Trial Call on an Original Charge of Failure to Stop at the Direction of a Police Officer. She was also charged not having Liability Insurance. She was remanded to Mat-Su Pretrial Facility.

On September 1, 2017, Palmer Police arrested KYL D. BRISKE, age 24 of Palmer, for Theft 4 and Assault 4. He was remanded to Mat-Su Pretrial Facility where he was released on his own recognizance.

On September 1, 2017, Palmer Police received a report of a missing 39-year old Palmer resident. Palmer Police in coordination with Alaska State Trooper, Palmer Fire Department and Matanuska Search and Rescue started a coordinated search for the missing adult. Six hours later the individual was located unharmed and was reunited with family.

On September 1, 2017, Palmer Police received a report of counterfeit currency being passed at the Alaska State Fairground.

On September 1, 2017, Palmer Police arrested YVES ZAAHIR, age 21 of Wasilla, for Driving Under the Influence. ZAAHIR was remanded to Mat-Su Pretrial Facility where he was released on his own recognizance.

On September 1, 2017, Palmer Police received a report a 65-year old resident that her vehicle was stolen from her residence. Alaska State Troopers located the vehicle on Edgerton Parks Road near Palmer Fishhook.

On September 1, 2017, a 40-year old Palmer woman reported being assaulted at the Fred Meyer Gas Station in Palmer.

On September 1, 2017, Palmer Police arrested KRISTIAN E. SEWARD, age 23 of Palmer, for Solicitation of Child Pornography. SEWARD was remanded to Mat-Su Pretrial Facility where bail was set at $12,500.

On September 2, 2017, Palmer Police arrested THERON R. BINGGELLI, age 21 of Wasilla, for Driving Under the Influence. He was remanded to Mat-Su Pretrial Facility where he was released on his own recognizance.

On September 2, 2017, Palmer Police arrested ERIC A. BROWN, age 46 of Palmer, for Assault 4. He was remanded to Mat-Su Pretrial Facility without bail.

On September 2, 2017, Palmer Police arrested DANIEL PALACIOS, age 24 of Anchorage, for Assault 4. He was remanded to Mat-Su Pretrial Facility where bail was set at $500.

On September 2, 2017, Palmer Police received a report from CARRS that merchandise had been stolen from the store.

On September 3, 2017, Palmer Police arrested NYLE SCHIMSCHAT, age 20 of Anchorage, for Driving Under the Influence and Refusal to Submit to a Chemical Test. He was remanded to Mat-Su Pretrial Facility where he was released on his own recognizance.

On September 3, 2017, a 23-year old Palmer resident reported her wallet was stolen from her vehicle.

On September 3, 2017, Palmer Police received a report from the Alaska State Fair Security staff that a ticket agent had stolen $580.

On September 3, 2017, Palmer Police received a report from a 41-year old Spokane Valley, Washington woman that approximately $10,000 worth of merchandise had been stolen from her Raven Hall booth at the Alaska State Fair.

On September 3, 2017, Palmer Police arrested SHARON BENDER, age 35 of Talkeetna, for Driving Under the Influence, Refusal to Submit to a Chemical Test and Endangering the Welfare of a Child. BENDER was remanded to Mat-Su Pretrial Facility where she was released on her own recognizance.

On September 3, 2017, Palmer Police received a report of two juveniles being robbed at the Shell Gas Station on South Chugach St. and Inner Springer Loop.

On September 3, 2017, Palmer Police received a report of a 10-year-old who was assaulted at the Alaska State Fair.

On September 3, 2017, Palmer Police received a report of a vehicle that struck several other vehicles in the yellow parking lot of the fair grounds and then left without leaving the required information.
