PALMER — Police are looking for a man who reportedly tried to sexually assault a 15-year-old girl over the weekend.
According to a department press statement, the girl was taken to Mat-Su Regional Medical Center for treatment of injuries sustained in the attack.
Police say they got the call to respond at 1 a.m. Saturday morning to the area of South Felton Street and West Fern Avenue. The girl described her attacker as about 30 years old wearing a white baseball cap, black hooded sweatshirt and blue jeans.
Anyone with information, especially anyone in Palmer at the time who may have seen the man, is asked to call Det. Sgt. Kelly Turney at 745-4811 or Mat-Su Crime Stoppers at 745-3333.
