Positive COVID-19 cases in Alaska grows to 69, as of Thursday

The number of positive cases for COVID-19 has grown to 69, as of Thursday evening.

Alaska Chief Medical Officer Dr. Anne Zink announced 10 new positive cases during a press conference Thursday. There are five additional cases in Anchorage, two in Fairbanks, two in North Pole and one in Juneau. Of the 10, Zink said, none were travel related. Four are close contact cases, and six remain under investigation. Of the 69 who have tested positive in Alaska, three have been hospitalized. There are two total positive cases in the Mat-Su Borough.

As of Thursday, there have been 2,388 total tests for COVID-19 in Alaska.
