To the editor:
I support Janet Kincaid and Peter Burchell for MEA board of directors because I now they both truly care about the future of MEA and its members.
Both of them have worked hard to bring respect back to MEA by working with other Railbelt utilities to address our common energy concerns. Along with Lois Lester and Kit Jones, Janet and Peter have spearheaded the effort to get a generation plant up and running by the end of 2014. That is important because our contract to buy electricity with Chugach Electric ends at that time.
They also helped bring Joe Griffith to MEA as general manager. The knowledge and expertise of Mr. Griffith are making much needed changes at MEA to secure the future of our co-op. Please help keep our board moving in a positive direction by voting for Janet Kincaid and Peter Burchell.
