Positive news: A warming shelter in the Valley

With all the challenges we face today, unemployment, covid 19, a deeply divided political landscape, it is so good to hear positive news!

Finally, we have some shelter for the homeless in the Valley.

The Mat- Su Salvation Army has put together a place where folks can warm up after it hits 15 degrees. It’s bedless, and people have to leave at 6 a.m. Still, it’s a big step in the right direction.

So many of our homeless are military, who gave their all.

I know so many of us are struggling, and I know me and all my friends pray for the homeless daily. But, maybe we’re called to do a bit more.

I’m going to give a little to the Salvation Army in the valley. I hope we can all give a little. Every time the night gets cold, Im thankful for my warm apartment. I think everyone should be able to be safe and warm at night.
