Post office ‘weed bed’ needs tending

To the editor:

How sad to greet Alaska visitors to the Palmer post office — a city famous for lush vegetables and flowers — with an overgrown “weed bed” flanked by dead trees at the entrance of a very sad entryway to the building.

Perhaps this could be a great project for a garden club, civic club or a scout troop?

I'm willing to buy wildflower seeds next spring and there is a water spigot right at the garden planter.
