WASILLA — A Wasilla man has been arrested following an Alaska State Troopers investigation that included intercepting two boxes containing 11 pounds of marijuana.
Troopers report David Lyn Botelho, 54, has been charged with multiple counts of fourth-degree misconduct involving a controlled substance. He was identified as the recipient of packages shipped to Wasilla from California that contained the pot. The packages were intercepted Aug. 13 and Aug. 14.
Botelho was taken to Mat-Su Pre-Trial Facility and held on $20,000 bail, and would have to get a court-appointed third party to watch over him if he makes bail.
In addition, search warrants were served on a local residence in connection with the case and additional drugs were located, troopers report. Those drugs include hashish, Oxycodone, Methadone and more marijuana. More charges are expected, AST reports.
