I have been in Alaska for more than 30 years. I have lived in the Valley for 18 years. In all that time, I have been an independent in my voter registration. I don’t really lean to the right nor the left. I usually vote for the person I believe that will do the best job.
I got involved in the public process on hunting and fishing issues about two years ago. In these two short years, I have been amazed at the support from four of our legislators, whether it was introducing legislation on behalf of sportsmen, voicing their concerns during community town hall meetings, or just working continuously to support us and our resource concerns.
I would just like to take a moment to say thank you to Lyda Green, Mark Neuman, Bill Stoltze and Charlie Huggins. Thank you for all that you do on behalf of us hunters and fishermen. To all of us that take this support for granted, I wanted to point this out.
I just ask that everyone who cherishes their right to hunt and fish remember these four good folks at election time. They support us and we need to support them. Thanks for listening.
