ANCHORAGE — The Palmer Moose used a 22-point first quarter to grab a 75-43 girls basketball nonconference win over the South Anchorage Wolverines in Anchorage on Thursday.
Rachel Huffman scored six of her eight points during that 22-point run. Huffman and Kasara Brandenburg, who also scored eight in the win, each grabbed a team-high nine rebounds in the victory. Taylor Blake hit seven shots from the floor, and scored a game-high 19 points in the victory.
Taylor Murray led South with 13 points.

ANCHORAGE — Three players scored in double digits to lead the Palmer Moose to a 60-52 boys basketball win over South Anchorage in Anchorage on Thursday.
Connor Looney led the Moose with 18 points, six rebounds, seven steals and three assists in the victory. Jackson Buresh added 14 points and six rebounds in the win. James Nisbett chipped in 11 points, four rebounds and four assists.
