WASILLA — The Wasilla Warriors used first- and third-quarter runs to grab a 56-43 girls basketball win over the North Pole Patriots at Wasilla High Thursday.
Wasilla outscored North Pole 16-8 in the first quarter and 17-6 during the third.
Alyssa Hutchins scored 22 points to lead the Warriors. Kyla Dinkel added 17 points and eight assists.
In boys’ actions, Wasilla ran past North Pole 89-38. Connor Devine led the Warriors with 19 points, eight rebounds and four blocks. Dane Kuiper added 18 points and Eric Roberts chipped in 10.
Wasilla led 57-27 at the half.
