HOUSTON — Sophomore Scott Herman scored 11 of his game-high 15 points in the fourth quarter to lead the Houston Hawks to a 46-43 nonconference win over the Homer Mariners in Houston on Thursday.
Herman also scored 11 of his team’s 15 points in the final quarter , and the Houston defense allowed only 16 second-half points in the win.
Bryan Mason added 12 for HHS.

Hawks fall in Palmer
PALMER — The Palmer Moose posted a 64-39 nonconference win over the Houston Hawks, Tuesday at Palmer High School.
Junior Jake Hillis recorded a 11 points and seven rebounds to lead Palmer to its second win over Houston this season. Palmer also beat the Hawks during the three-day Elks Showdown at Palmer High at the beginning of the season.
Senior Justin Draughon scored 10 points for PHS.
The Moose also out-rebounded Houston 40-23, and hit six shots from behind the arc. Junior Mitch Swetzof led Palmer with nine rebounds. Senior T.J. Fullmer, senior Jake Parisien and junior Shaq Odom each hit a pair of three-pointers.

Balanced attack leads Knights past North Pole
PALMER — The Colony Knights used a balanced scoring attack to post a 67-43 nonconference win over the North Pole Patriots at Colony High School on Thursday.
Only two players hit double digits in scoring for the Knights, but 11 players scored for CHS.
Senior forwards Josh Moseley and Matthew Stearman each scored a game-high 10 for Colony. Stearman scored all 10 of his points in the second half.
Senior Jaron Murphy added nine for CHS.
Jesse Ward led North Pole with nine.
