Prep football playoff schedule set

The prep football playoff schedule is set, and a pair of Palmer-area teams will be in action this weekend. Colony (6-2), the top seed from the Railbelt Conference, hosts Dimond (4-4) Friday at 7 p.m. at Colony High School. Dimond is the No. 4 seed from the Cook Inlet Conference.

Palmer (5-3), the third seed in the Railbelt, will play Service (7-1) at Dimond Alumni Field in South Anchorage Saturday at 4 p.m.

Friday:

Dimond (4-4) at Colony (6-2), Colony High School, 7 p.m.

West Valley (4-4) at West (8-0), Anchorage Football Stadium, 7 p.m.

Saturday:

Palmer (5-3) vs. Service (7-1), Dimond Alumni Field, 4 p.m.

Chugiak (5-3) at Juneau-Douglas, Adair Kennedy Field, 7 p.m.

Small-schools

Homer (4-4) at Nikiski (6-2), noon

Skyview (6-2) at Eielson (5-3), Buck Nystrom Field, 1 p.m.
