WASILLA — Palmer used a pair of second-period goals to grab a Railbelt Conference victory.
Luke Theisen and Zach Nelius scored during Palmer’s 2-0 win over Houston Wednesday afternoon at the Big Lake Recreational Center.
Jackson Heard earned the shutout in the Palmer net, stopping all 16 shots he saw. The Moose outshot Houston 37-16 in the win. Josh Smoldon made 35 saves in the Houston loss.
Theisen used an unassisted goal early in the second period to give Palmer the 1-0 lead. Nelius added a paoer play goal later in the period. Darian Wilson and Alex Nelius recorded an assist on the score.
