Prep running: Palmer, Wasilla win borough team titles

TALKEETNA — The Wasilla Warriors and Palmer Moose captured team titles at the annual Mat-Su Borough Championships cross country running event in Talkeetna on Wednesday.

Led by senior Jake Parisien’s first-place performance, Palmer won the boys’ team title. Kevin Smith finished second for the Moose.

Wasilla placed four runners in the top six, and won the girls’ team title.
