Prep soccer: Palmer, Wasilla split games

The Palmer Moose and Wasilla Warriors split a pair of varsity soccer games last week.

Jackson Charton scored twice to lead the Palmer boys to a 3-1 win over Wasilla. Alex Armani also scored. The Warriors converted a penalty kick in the loss.

The Wasilla girls beat Palmer 3-1. Molly O’Neill and Kylie Taylor scored goals. Lainey Kroon scored on a corner kick for Wasilla. Larkynn Miner had 10 saves.

In other action the Palmer boys suffered a 3-2 loss to Ketchikan and recorded an 11-0 victory over Redington. Charton and Daniel Marcales scored against the Kings.

The Wasilla girls also tied Eagle River 1-1. Allie Johnson netted the Warriors goal.
