WASILLA — The Wasilla Warriors scored nine times in the second half en route to an 11-1 win over the Homer Mariners at Wasilla High School on Saturday.
Aaron Sharrow scored four times to lead the Warriors. Adam Friese and Jose Soto added two goals, while Chad Cowen, Kyle Welton and Michael Lewis also scored.
Eli Tingstad earned the win in net.
Wasilla head coach Blake Livingston said the difference in the two halves was Wasilla’s ability to capitalize on chances.
“In the first half we had nice opportunities, but we struggled to find the back of the net,” Livingston said. “In the second half, once we got a couple, we were able to get more confidence.”

The Warriors did suffer a pair of losses in the win. Johannes and Tillerman Kroon both suffered injuries.
