PALMER — Underclassmen accounted for 10 goals during Colony’s 13-0 win over the Houston Hawks, Tuesday at Colony High School.
Freshman Jamie Krediet and sophomore Katie Gonski each notched the hat trick as the Knights improved to 2-2-1 overall.
Senior Danielle Querin and sophomore Liza Laughlin added two goals, while junior Kara Larson, sophomore Jessica Farrell and freshman Chelsea Halstead also found the back of the net.
Freshman Meghan Riopelle and sophomore Katelyn Payne combined for the shutout in the Colony goal.
The Knights return to the field next Tuesday to host the Grace Christian Grizzlies at 6 p.m. at CHS.
Captain leads Colony boys to win
PALMER — Captain Bridger Van Ness posted two goals and two assists to lead the Colony Knights to a 9-0 win over the Houston Hawks at Colony High School on Tuesday.
James Meaney and Tim Jaronik also scored twice, as the Knights improved to 2-0-1 this season. Hunter Fisher, Dylan Crawford and Gorden Krueger each scored one goal. Jessie Krey earned the shutout in the Colony net.
Colony hosts Grace Christian at 4 p.m. Tuesday at CHS.
Palmer games rescheduled
PALMER — The Palmer Moose were slated to host the Juneau Douglas Crimson Bears in nonconference action at PHS on Thursday, but those games were moved due to a scheduling conflict, PHS activities director Jeff Thiede said on Wednesday.
Palmer will now host the Bears today at Begich Middle School in Anchorage. The girls will play at 5 p.m., and the boys will take the turf at 7 p.m.
In other action today, Wasilla hosts Skyview (girls at 4 p.m. and boys at 6 p.m.), while Houston is at home against Homer (girls at 4 p.m and boys at 6 p.m).
