Sophomore Molly O’Neill scored the lone goal to lead the Wasilla Warriors to a 1-0 girls soccer win over Colony Tuesday evening.
Lainey Kroon recorded the assist on the play. Larkynn Miner earned the nine-save shutout in the Wasilla net.
The win comes after a 2-0-1 finish during a three-game trip to the Fairbanks area last week.
Miner made seven saves during a scoreless tie against West Valley. O’Neill and Kylie Taylor scored two goals each in a 6-0 victory over Lathrop. Kroon and Dani Steiner also scored.
Kroon and Makenna Hanson each notched a hat trick in a 12-0 win over North Pole. Taylor scored twice.
In boys action, Colony beat the Warriors 2-1. Kris Belanger and Max Weinraub scored the goals. The Knights also traveled to Fairbanks. The CHS boys beat Lathrop 1-0 and suffered a 5-1 loss to West Valley.
The Colony girls beat Lathrop and West Valley 2-0 in each match.
