The Wasilla girls cross-country runners have been named the Mat-Su Valley Frontiersman Student-Athletes of the Week.
The Warriors captured their second straight region title and fourth in six years during the Region III Champsionhips at Palmer High School’s Michael Janecek Trails. All five scoring runners for the Warriors placed in the top 16 of the 4A varsity race. Wasilla finished with 43 overall points, nearly half of second-place Kenai Central.
