Colony High School senior Matt Jaronik has been named the Mat-Su Valley Frontiersman Prep Student-Athlete of the Week.
Jaronik won three events during the Skyview Invitational track and field meet in Soldotna last Friday and helped the Knights win the boys’ team title. Jaronik finished first in the 100, 200 and 400-meter runs. He was also second in the long jump.
Jaronik is a two-time defending Northern Lights Conference champion in track and field. He’s also a Colony football standout who will play for the University of St. Mary in Kansas next fall.
