PALMER — Lily Burch used a dozen kills to help the Colony Knights score a 3-0 (25-19, 25-5, 25-17) victory over visiting Kenai Thursday night at Colony High School.
Birch also added eight digs to help Colony improve to 3-1 in NLC play. Mikara Klawitter finished with 10 kills and seven digs. Eve Stephens added nine kills, four blocks and four aces.
Stars stop Knights
Soldotna needed a fifth game to edge Colony 3-2 (19-25, 23-25, 25-23, 25-18, 15-11) Saturday afternoon at Colony High School.
Eve Stephens led the Knights with 16 kills and four blocks in the loss. Lily Birch finished with 14 kills, 13 digs and two blocks. Shiann Bontrager collected 34 assists a dozen digs.
Soldotna improved to 2-1 in NLC play. Colony dropped to 3-2.
Moose fall to Stars
Visiting Soldotna posted a 3-0 (25-22, 25-22, 25-21) NLC win over Palmer Friday night at Palmer High School.
Kennedy Bryan led the Moose with eight kills, while Mallory Bradford added six. Mystery Showalter collected six digs and two aces.
Kards down Moose
Kenai capped its three-day tour of the Valley with a 3-0 (25-22, 25-15, 25-20) win over Palmer Saturday afternoon at Palmer High School.
Kennedy Bryan led the Moose with 11 kills. Mallory Bradford added nine kills. Tiana Lee chipped in 16 assists.
