WASILLA — The host Wasilla Warriors earned a fifth place finish at the North South Wrestling Tournament at Wasilla High School Friday and Saturday. 160-pounder Casey Katchinska was the top Wasilla finisher at the meet in third place.
The Palmer Moose finished 14th in the 20-team tournament, while the Houston Hawks were 15th.
Two Palmer wrestlers made the finals, including Jake Minturn at 140 pounds and Nick Stahler at 145, as did Houston's Justin Crowley at 215 pounds.
All three, however, lost in the finals, leaving the Valley without an individaul champion.
