Helen Munoz hangs a Christmas ornament on one of two trees that have been put up for the ‘Light Up A Life’ fundraiser for the nonprofit arm of Mat-Su Regional Medical Center's Hospice foundation. The fundraiser, which has been around for more than 20 years, begins Friday. For a suggested donation of $10 or $15, an angel or star ornament with the name of a loved one you wish to honor will placed on the tree. All names are placed on the trees will be read at a Gathering of Remembrance ceremony, 2 p.m. Jan. 6, at the Palmer Train Depot. The trees are located in the Kolosky Building in Palmer and in Wasilla at Meta Rose Square.
