WASILLA — Alaska State Troopers say they responded to a residence on Museum Drive in Wasilla around 11:35 p.m., May 28 for a report of a homeowner holding two people at gunpoint.
Troopers say their investigation determined that Colton Renfro, 18, of Wasilla, and Jessica Copeland, 20, of Wasilla, had illegally entered the property to steal parts from vehicles stored on the property.
The property owner arrived and held Renfro and Copeland until troopers arrived.
Renfro was arrested on first-degree criminal trespass and third-degree theft charges. He also was charged with driving with a suspended license and misconduct involving weapons after he was found to have possessed brass knuckles. And he also was found to be on conditions of release from a previous criminal charge.
Copeland was arrested for first-degree criminal trespass and third-degree theft charges. She was also charged with drug misconduct after she was found to be in possession of marijuana.
Renfro and Copeland were transported to Mat Su Pretrial where Renfro was held without bail and Copeland was held on $250 bail.
The investigation is ongoing and further charges are expected.
