It has become abundantly clear to me that the legislators meeting in Wasilla are more concerned about their re-elections by dangling the PFD as a bribe for votes. Those in Juneau have done the math and understand responsible cuts are necessary to BOTH the budget and the PFD. They are putting the best interests of our State over all else.
Legislators: In these next five days, veto the vindictive, retaliatory budget put forth by the Governor. Time is of the essence. Follow that with a reasonable budget and revise the PFD formula to at least some semblance of sustainability. Next year? Continue the work.
Citizens voters: Put the well-being of our State above yourselves. Demand that our legislators do the same. Vote accordingly.
