Quake rattles Valley

MAT-SU — A late-night earthquake was felt strongly in the Mat-Su Valley Monday. The quake hit at 11 p.m. and had its epicenter about 8 miles northwest of Big Lake, 12 miles southwest of Houston and about 14 miles southwest of Willow, the U.S. Geological Survey reports. A preliminary magnitude was reported at 4.0.
