Valley Hospice Resources is $975 closer to reaching its dream of building a Hospice house in the Mat-Su Borough. Palmer quilter Brenda Martin stitched a quilt to benefit Hospice and NonEssentials in Palmer sold raffle tickets. Martin said she was very pleased with the amount of money raised by the raffle for the queen-sized quilt, which Erin Kelly won May 15. Her son, Kurt, 13, drew the winning ticket.
