ANCHORAGE — The Susitna Valley Rams earned their third top-four state tournament finish in the last four years Saturday.
The Rams capped their 2015 season with a 3-1 (29-27, 25-18, 17-25, 25-18) win over Craig in the fourth-place match of the ASAA/First National Bank 2A State Volleyball Championships at Dimond High School in Anchorage.
Su Valley, which won its first state championship in 2013, finished 2-1 in the tournament. After falling to Petersburg 3-0 in the first round, the Rams bounced back to beat Tok 3-0 in the consolation semifinals Friday.
This marks Su Valley’s fourth straight trip to the 2A state tournament. The Rams finished fourth in 2012, first in 2013 and tied for seventh last season.
