I would like to add my voice in support of Sarah Welton’s re-election as representative on Mat-Su District’s School Board. Since meeting Sarah several years ago I have been continually impressed with her dedication to our community and her knowledge of the issues facing our schools.
Of Sarah’s many strengths and abilities, I would specifically like to mention Sarah’s responsiveness to the residents of the Valley. Sarah is well aware of not only the issues that parents have concerning the education of their children, but also the successes and disappointments that families experience every day of every school year. I doubt there is an issue that a Mat-Su parent could not bring to Sarah’s attention that she hasn’t already encountered in one form or another.
Sarah is dedicated to not just the idea of public schools; she is dedicated to our public schools. I believe her involvement in and her knowledge of the Mat-Su school system is unmatched, and we in the Valley are extremely fortunate to have her representing us on the board.
On Oct. 6, let’s make sure we return Sarah Welton to the school board on behalf of all Mat-Su students.
