Ready to maintain a healthy lifestyle long after contest ends

Well, it looks like there’s just about three weeks left in the Trim to Win competition. Actually, someone had to bring that little tidbit of information to my attention.

It guess it’s a little strange that I didn’t immediately realize there were only about three weeks left in this thing. But that’s not because I’m flaking out on this deal. I’m still meeting with Krista, the AT&T Sports Center master trainer, twice a week and hitting the sports center at least five times per week. I’ve also maintained what I’m seeing as a proper diet.

Time can certainly get away from you. But otherwise, I have had a different mentality with Trim to Win this time around.

When I did Trim to Win the first time, I had good results. But I think I was too focused on the final day of the competition and my final number for the contest. I think while striving toward that goal of winning the contest for Frontiersman employees, I forgot to look beyond and think about life after Trim to Win. It didn’t take long to fall back into bad habits. It took only days for some, months for others.

This time around, my drive is not dictated by the number I see on the scale. I want to be working out five times each week at the AT&T and maintaining a sensible diet for the days, months and years after the 2010 Trim to Win contest ends.

I am closing in on a loss of 40 pounds, which I’m excited about. I may or may not exceed the 55 pounds I loss during the first Trim to Win contest. Regardless of what the scale reads on the final day of Trim to Win, I will know I did it right the second time around.

Continued luck to all,

JB
