The Valley Walk for Alzheimer's is looking for help in putting together a community cookbook.
The cookbook will feature recipes from those who have helped support the annual walk, or the Alzheimer's Association.
Originally, the end of March was the final time for recipes to be submitted. Recipes are being solicited through April 5, however, so they can be included in the cookbook.
"We will have a section on caregivers and information about Alzheimer's, but the rest will be recipes from people in the community," said Frances Vadla of the Valley Walk for Alzheimer's.
Vadla said she is hoping to have the cookbook mailed to a publishing company by the middle of April, so recipes need to be submitted as soon as possible.
People can submit recipes by mailing them to Vadla at P.O. Box 520933, Big Lake, AK 99652; by e-mailing them to fvadla@alaska.net; by faxing them to 892-6799; or by calling Vadla at 892-6722.
