After consecutive conference victories, including a wild win on Homer, the Redington Huskies are back in the playoffs for the first time since 2021.

Redington quarterback Christian Ingraham accounted for seven total touchdowns to lead the Huskies to a 56-46 win over Homer Friday in Homer.

Redington improved to 4-1 overall and 3-1 in conference play. The Huskies also cemented home field advantage in the Division III semifinals, slated for the weekend of Oct. 11-12.

Ingraham completed 15 of 25 passes for 186 yards and two touchdowns, and also ran for another five scores.

Ingraham helped the Huskies rally from first-quarter and halftime deficits. He rushed for three scores in the second half, including a 92-yard touchdown run in the fourth quarter that helped Redington secure the win. Ingraham powered in from a yard out three times for a score, and had a 26-yard touchdown run in the second quarter.

Jake Murdock caught both of Ingraham’s touchdown passes, one for 9 yards and another for 25.

Michael Marquez-Hopson gave Redington its first lead with a 5-yard touchdown run early in the first quarter.

Redington finished 495 yards of total offense, 309 on the ground and 186 through the air.

The Division III rivals combined for 102 total points and 969 total yards.

Redington closes its regular season Oct. 4 against rival Houston at Houston High School.

Houston dropped to 1-3 in conference with a 30-13 road loss to Barrow. The Whalers (4-0 in conference) clinched first place, and will also host a semifinal game.

The Hawks were eliminated from playoff contention. Kenai and Homer, both 2-2, own the tiebreaker over Houston. The Kards and Mariners meet in Week 8. The winner will finish third and travel to Redington in the semifinals. The loser will make the trip north to meet the Whalers.
