The Redington Huskies earned the girls team title at the Homer Winter Carnival Feb. 12 in Homer.
Redington capped its weekend with a 61-16 win over Galena. Lexi Seymore led the Huskies with 19 points. Destiny Simmons added a dozen. Redington started the game on a 22-2 run.
The Huskies also beat host Homer 44-36. Alizae Crume hit a trio of three-pointers in the fourth quarter, and scored a team-high 16, Seymour added 14.
Redington opened the weekend with a 55-15 win over Ninilchik. Seymour scored 19. Delaney Reavis added 11.
The Redington boys finished 1-2 in the round-robin tournament. Redington beat Galena 60-36. Logan Seymore led Redington with 17 points. Wayde Bowman added 12 and Bryce Murdock chipped in 11.
Ninilchik beat Redington 74-46. Cort Sandefor led the Huskies with 14 and Logan Seymore scored 13.
Host Homer scored a 57-46 win over the Huskies.
Logan Seymore finished with 15 points and Sandefor scored a dozen.
