The Redington Huskies opened their 2023 prep volleyball season with a pair of wins over Fairbanks opponents over the weekend at Redington.
Redington swept Monroe Catholic 3-0 (25-14, 25-17, 25-12) Aug. 24 and Hutchison 3-0 (25-20, 25-14, 25-17) Aug. 26.
Brooklyn Mocan led the Huskies with eight kills during the win over Monroe. Feodora Konev added seven kills. Lexi Pike had a team-best 15 digs. Mocan had 11 digs, and Eliana Rice added nine digs.
Brianna Harris finished with four kills against Hutchison. Mocan had six digs.
