KNIK — Iditarod Trail Sled Dog race veteran Raymie Redington carries a load of riders on a loop around the grounds at the Iditarod Headquarters, 2100 S. Knik-Goose Bay Road, Wasilla.

This is the 21st year Raymie and Barb Redington have offered sled dog tours at Iditarod from May to September. Redingtons donated more than $1,200 in proceeds from tours during the annual Iditarod Volunteer Picnic and Musher Signup on Saturday to the Willow Dog Mushers Association to aid in the Sockeye fire recover effort. The Redingtons also donated another $400 in tips to help.

Contribute to the “Help Willow Mushers Rebuild” fund on YouCaring, bit.ly/1FYdqir. Or, mail checks to WDMA, PO Box 858, Willow, AK 99688. Include “Fire Relief Fund” in the memo.
