Resolutions aren’t meant to be broken, and yet more often than not, they are within the first week of the New Year for some. So how can you stick to your resolutions in 2013 without breaking them?
Sit down and think of something you really want to do in 2013: a personal change, a job-related goal, maybe to propose to that special someone. The difference is in how you act on a goal.
First, write your goal down.
A simple thing like writing the goal helps you to achieve the goal. Once written down, you need to display it in a place where you will see it every day. You want it in a place where you will see it every morning and every night.
The second thing you must do if you really want to accomplish the goal is to tell people what you want to do and then surround yourself with people who will help you achieve it. Stay away from the negative energy and stay positive.
If you have positive people around you, they will help you stay on course.
Learn something new
Taking a class in a subject you enjoy is a great way to rekindle your love of learning. If you give yourself the freedom to explore new interests, you might uncover a passion that you never knew existed.
Parents: Make every
day count
In order to be happy, well-adjusted children who grow into happy, well-adjusted adults, kids need happy, well-adjusted parents.
Do positive activities with your children. Go sledding, cross-country skiing or simply build a snowman together.
The New Year is a whole new opportunity for you, different than any time before. Think of it as a new beginning, a new chapter, a new you, and the best way not to break your New Year’s resolutions is by being consistent about realizing them.
You can do it!
Volunteer
