To the editor:
I was upset to read about the young man who lost his life at Hatcher Pass. I am a mother of five and have spent many weekends shuttling kids from the bottom of the hill to the top. Never did I think if I had to call 911 for assistance there would be a 2-plus hour delay. Shame on you. My tax dollars pay your salaries, and from where I sit, your not doing your job. This is unacceptable. A missing child should always be a priority. If it’s not, maybe you should change your dispatch protocol. The sad thing is if you had responded like we (tax payers) expect you too that boy would be alive today. Snow boarders beware. Your life is not as valuable as others there is no emergency response for us.
