Response to Kevin Brown

To the editor:

Mr. Brown, my family and I have lived in the Valley a lot longer than you. Our roots are deep and our friendships are strong. It is not a conflict of interest for me to participate as a member-owner in my electric co-op’s annual election. Shame on you and your petty accusations. I will support whichever candidates I feel represent my values. My husband and I are independent, free thinkers, and I resent your implications of otherwise. Your letter to the editor (4/17/09) does nothing more than show how liberal you are and how you want to keep the “little guy” from being an active citizen. I support Crystal Nygard because she will represent my values on the MEA Board.
