To the editor:
As longtime readers of the Frontiersman, my wife and I are both disappointed and irritated that this publication has decided to switch to evening deliveries on Tuesdays and Fridays. The Frontiersman is the exclusive printed voice of the Valley from the Valley. Incumbent in this responsibility is to provide the best local news in the timeliest fashion. As is indicative of readers of other daily news publications, the preference is to have local, current events arrive at the start of the day. From our perspective, an evening paper gives the appearance of a glorified shopping gazette.
The morning custom in our home is to make the coffee, then grab the morning papers to read before starting our day. There is always fierce competition in this house regarding who gets to read the Frontiersman first and who gets stuck with the Daily News. We believe that management should rethink this delivery time change with consideration for its readers.
