Mat-Su Valley residents are invited to take part in a six-week Retrouvaille program designed to help married couples renew their relationships. The program begins the weekend of Feb. 10-12 at an Anchorage hotel. The program includes 12 post-weekend sessions over a six-week period immediately following the weekend.
Retrouvaille (pronounced retro-vi with a long i) provides tools and techniques couples need to overcome stress and conflict in marriage relationships and teaches couples the tools they need to get their marriages back on track.
A registration fee of $100 is required, and at the end of the weekend each couple will receive a blank envelope and be asked to make a free-will donation to help cover costs. However, no couple is ever denied the chance to heal their marriage because of a lack of funds.
Retrouvaille of Alaska Inc. is a nonprofit organization affiliated with Retrouvaille International. Presenting teams are made up of volunteers who have gone through the program themselves and overcome significant obstacles in their own marriages.
