WASILLA — Mat-Su Crime Stoppers is offering up to $1,000 as reward for information that can help in cracking a couple of burglary cases.
Both burglaries occurred within the city of Wasilla. The first was on July 30 on Pioneer Drive. Sometime over that weekend, someone broke in through a rear door of a home and made off with $2,840 in guns, including a Smith & Wesson K-15 .38 Special revolver with basket weave holster, a Mossberg 12-gauge blued pump action shotgun, an AMT Automag II stainless-steel .22-caliber pistol with Uncle Mikes holster, a Charter Arms Undercover .38 pistol with pancake holster, a Taurus Undercover .357 pistol with pancake holster, a Smith & Wesson .44 blued pistol with pancake holster, a Smith & Wesson .357 magnum with Uncle Mikes holster and a Smith & Wesson .357 magnum blued pistol with pancake holster.
The second burglary was reported Aug. 7 on Cache Drive. Someone kicked in the front door of a home and made off with a 55-inch Sony LED television, a 15-inch MacBook laptop with charger, mouse and keyboard skin, an iPod with headphones and a $100 universal remote control. Total loss was estimated at $6,500.
