Riflery team drops pair of matches

FAIRBANKS - Palmer High School sent its marksmen to Fairbanks over the weekend for a twin bill against the Lathrop and West Valley riflery teams. Scott Foxley led the Moose with scores of 540 and 528 points but it wasn't enough overtake either Fairbanks team. In Friday's contest, the West Valley Malamutes outgunned the Moose 2,013 to 1,852. Lathrop beat the Moose 2,179 to 1,949 in Saturday's match.

No other Palmer shooter broke the 500-point barrier, although Adam Carter bagged 496 points against the Malamutes.
