Rise above religious dogma

Imagine, if you will, that a common-sense need for well-being is an omnipresent characteristic of empty space and that it is the fundamental essence of the basic nature of God. In other words, if the only thing present in the very beginning was a natural need to change for the better, then the God of creation could be more simply defined as being nothing more than an ever-present need for improvement.

Viewing human life from this uncomplicated point of view reveals that our efforts in contributing to the good of ourselves and our surroundings are equivalent to prayerful acts of homage to the unconscious and ever-present positive force of the universe.

Early human beings had no way of suspecting that a simple need for improvement was the original first cause that brought about evolutionary change so the shamans and their successors necessarily assumed that a God creator fashioned the Heavens and Earth in much the same way an all-powerful human being would do it. It seems more likely that the building blocks of existence evolved naturally throughout eons of time in response to an underlying and incessant need for improvement. Evolution started with the intelligent laws of physics and the emotional essence of life, which led to the physical, mental and emotional nature of human beings.

Even though the majority of mankind continues to pursue the ancient ideals of organized religion, the evolution of human understanding enables modern people to rise above religious dogma and to develop a philosophical world view that is compatible with social and cultural norms. But it is incumbent on all conscientious individuals to apply the use of reason and their own sense of truth when choosing between the religious doctrines and philosophical theories that shape their belief systems.
