PALMER — Home plate was a busy place Thursday night.
Rivals Colony and Palmer combined for 34 runs during Colony’s 22-12 win over the Palmer Moose at Hermon Brothers Field.
Colony scored at least five runs in four different innings, 10 different Knights scored at least one run and nine Colony players scored at least twice as the Knights picked up their second win of the season over the Moose. Leadoff hitter Trace Severson scored four times for Colony. Alex Gamez added three, and seven Knights crossed home plate twice.
Kolten Ketchum and Cooper Smith drove in a game-best three runs each. Zachary Satterly and Joe Ryan had two RBI each. Smith and Ryan had two hits each.
Palmer plated a dozen runs on 10 hits. Cade Holland, Anthony Jones, Alasdair McKechnie and Dylan Buzby had two RBI each. Luke Guggenmos and James Nelson scored three times each. Aaron Christiansen and Holland added two runs each.
Nelson, Christiansen, Holand and Jones each had two hits for the Moose.
