Retiring teacher, coach urges Colony grads to ‘find their 68’

We are now seeing the completion of two years of road construction on the Old Glenn Highway. We live on this road, so have been able to watch it constantly.
The road looks great, the people working on it have been extremely helpful and courteous. They have let us know when it would be completely blocked, when it would happen and how long it would last. They have done everything possible to make sure there is as little inconvenience as possible all the while doing a very professional job.
Pruhs Construction seems to be the main contractor on the project. I recognize Stewart Amgwert everywhere doing everything with a smile. Other faces have become familiar: the flagger who sometimes waves instead of just motioning the cars to keep going, another who walked me by the working equipment as I was just trying to find a away around the maze, the men who waited until we came home one day to learn where we wanted two lilac bushes put when they had to be moved out of the way of the expansion.
The bushes survived and looked better than ever this year.
Thanks to all of them. And now the much improved road is almost finished.
Great work!
